shiramisu might mean “pick me up” in italian. but shira means “song” in hebrew. thus, my name means i’m predisposed to love music. here, some of my favorite tunes for those key wedding moments.

i have to preface this post by stating that i did not discover this tune by watching the twilight movie for which it was written. but i will be honest and admit that i did come across it by watching the latest episode so you think you can dance. i find a lot of great songs this way, and am highly entertained in the process. now that i've shared one of my favorite shows i can share a new favorite song, courtesy of sleeping at last. the piano melody got me and then the lyrics tugged at my heartstrings, and then i went on a downloading spree from there. now i've got two dozen new songs to put on repeat and you have an idea for a first dance song or an instrumental precessional option (it's available for download) to be played by a live pianist.
